Since 1992 the State of Colorado has eliminated our spring Bear season, along with the use
of bait or dogs any other time of year. The most effective means of controlling the population
has been stopped - so our Bear population has been drastically increasing!
We've been keeping a log book pertaining to our
increased bear sightings since 1992. We are seeing lots of Big Bear in
all the various color phases. Our Bear season is in September and
concurrent to any Deer or Elk season. You are welcome to purchase a
Bear License to bring to any Deer or Elk hunts. We'd
be happy to discuss your chance for success.
